Special Orders

We often get requests for special orders, particularly for baby carriers from overseas suppliers.

We are happy to order in items were possible. Please note our Special Order policies and process below:

 

Is the item I want available?

Please check on the suppliers website for availability prior to contacting us. For example, we cannot order in discontinued Tula or wraps and slings that are no longer available from the manufacturer.

When is payment required?

Depending on the supplier and cost of the item, you will either need to pay a $100 non-refundable deposit or pay for the special order in full at the time your order is confirmed.

 

  • Some items require full payment up front, such as Lenny Lamb carriers, Kokadi Flip and Fidella.
  • Other items where there are different sizes and prices, such as Didymos wraps, you will need to pay a $100 non-refundable deposit.

 

How long will my special order take?

Some suppliers have high minimum retailer orders so we are not always able to order your item immediately. We will often need to combine it with other stock ordering or other special order requests.

Shipping will vary depending on location but please allow an average of 3 weeks.

 

Placing your special order with us:

  1. Email us with your request for a special order with all the relevant information. Please include a note that you have read this page and understand that deposit and pre-payment for special orders are not refundable and items are sold firm sale.

  2. We will confirm if we can order it in and an approx time frame.

  3. Once we have confirmed we can source the item you require, we will send you a payment link for either full payment or a non-refundable deposit.

  4. Once your payment is received, we will place the order with our supplier.

 

Special orders are FIRM SALE:

It is unfortunate that due to a number of costly cancelled orders from European suppliers, we have been forced to adopt a firm sale and pre-payment policy for special orders. Please be very sure about what you are asking us to order from the other side of the world for you. We are a small business and are very careful with what we order for our stock. We can't afford to order in specialist items for customers who then change their mind leaving us with expensive items we will struggle to sell.

 

So please note the following applies to all special orders:

  1. Once your deposit or full purchase has been paid, you cannot cancel your order.
  2. Special order deposits are not refundable even if you choose not to go ahead with the order. If the item you ordered can be sold as part of our usual stock, we will issue a store credit for the $100 deposit value. If the item you ordered is not part of our range, any cancelled order will mean you forfeit 100% of your deposit.
  3. Special Orders are sold firm sale. This means:
  • You cannot cancel a special order once it is placed with our suppplier.
  • You cannot return a specially ordered item for a refund or exchange.
  • You cannot return a special order because you have changed your mind or the item is different to what you were expecting.
