Details

The Girasol Woven Wrap - a wonderful alternative or addition to a sling, stretchy wrap or buckle carrier! Girasol Woven Wraps are hand-woven and much loved around the world.

Hardly any other carrier is as versatile as a woven wrap: with different tying methods, it can be used from birth to toddler age and always optimally adapted to the changing needs of the sling and the wearer.

Admittedly: It does take a little more practice to tie a woven wrap comfortably and quickly compared to other carrier types. But it's not as hard as you may think and if you keep at it, you will be rewarded with a unique and comfortable wearing experience!

In front of the belly, on the hip, on the back, with different centres of gravity and weight shifting, with further uses as a blanket, pad, baby hammock and swing - a woven wrap is comfortable, practical and fun.

All weaves of Girasol Wraps have wonderful sling properties due to their diagonal elasticity. The centre of the sling is marked with a sewn-in tag, the ends are bevelled and edges are comfortably double-stitched.

About Girasol Wraps, Slings and Carriers:

All Girasol products, whether the MySol® and WrapMysol carriers or wraps and ring slings, are 100% handmade. This begins with the dyeing of the yarns, continues with the weaving of the fabrics and ends with the tailoring of the carriers. Our baby carriers were developed in cooperation with babywearing advisors and our tailors use a specially developed pattern.

Girasol has worked with small cooperatives and handicraft enterprises in Guatemala for decades. This gives us handmade products of outstanding quality, and on the other hand, regular and continuous orders enable many families to earn an income and improve their quality of life.

Weaving on traditional hand looms is also traditionally anchored in the Mayan culture and we are lucky to be able to rely on such great expertise and craftsmanship of our staff.

Hand-woven baby slings are very popular all over the world, as the quality of the carrying items is simply convincing in everyday use, both in application and in fabric quality.

Sizing Chart

Which size wrap to buy depends on your dress size, height and how you will tie your wrap. Ask us if you need advice on this, or you may want to rent a wrap to check if the size is right for you.

Size 2 (2.6m) - These short wraps are useful for using for carries similar to a ring sling, such as a slip knot carry.

Size 6 (4.6m) - The most common wrap size which can be used for the common 'Front Wrap Cross Carry' for up to about size 16.

Ask us for shorter or longer wraps if we don't have what you need in stock. With so many suppliers, styles, fabrics and colours, we just hold a little range rather than try to stock everthing!

Washing instructions

Machine washable up to 60 degrees.
To protect the material and the environment, we recommend washing at 40 degrees and using mild detergent.
Please never use fabric softener!

We offer fast, economical shipping to Australia, dispatched every week day from our Auckland, New Zealand warehouse. All items on our website are in stock, ready to dispatch (excludes pre-order or custom size items). Please allow 3-5 working days for main centres, 5 working days for outside of main centres and up to 10 working days for heavy or bulky orders.

Shipping starts from $8 for small items. Just add your items to your cart and use the Shipping Estimator in the Mini Cart or Cart with your post code. Please double check your shipping in the checkout, particularly for large items which the estimator doesn’t accurately calculate.

The majority of packages are shipped with Toll Priority. Bulky or heavy items will generally be shipped with Omni/Australia Post.

Packages are labelled with an Authority to Leave if they are less than $300 value so delivery doesn’t require you to be home. Please let us know if you need Signature Required for security concerns. PO Box or Parcel Locker orders are sent with Omni/Aus Post.
