The Sleep Store Wooden Labour Comb is designed to help provide comfort and focus during labour. Small enough to hold in your hand, this comb can be squeezed firmly in the palm during contractions to create a helpful counter-pressure sensation.

The idea is beautifully simple. By gripping the comb’s teeth in your palm during contractions, it stimulates pressure points in the hand, which can help redirect your focus and provide a natural coping technique during labour. You can alternate the comb between hands during contractions, allowing each hand to rest in between. It’s a lightweight, easy-to-pack item that fits perfectly into a hospital bag and can be used at home, in the birthing suite, or wherever your birth takes place.

Crafted from smooth Beechwood, the comb feels sturdy and comfortable to hold while still being compact (16.5 x 6.2cm) and practical. It’s a simple addition to your birth toolkit that may help you feel more prepared and supported as you move through each stage of labour.
