- Pounamu (green/black) - This colourway is inspired by pounamu (greenstone), a stone treasured in Māori culture. The green shades reflect the forests, rivers, and natural world that we all depend on. It reminds us of the importance of staying connected to nature for strength, healing, and balance.
- Whero (Red/White/Black) - Whero means “red.” In te ao Māori, red represents life force, passion, and vitality. Combined with black and white, these colours reflect balance and whakapapa (our family connections across generations). This colourway celebrates strength and unity.

The Hiwa & Awa carrier design tells the story of māmā and pēpi through the maternity journey. The puhoro, embodying identity and connection, flows around the niho taniwha, a symbol of strength, resilience, and unity. Together, they represent the courage and unwavering support needed to welcome new life into te ao. Interwoven among the puhoro are unanahi, signifying health and abundance. We offer fast, economical shipping to Australia, dispatched every week day from our Auckland, New Zealand warehouse. All items on our website are in stock, ready to dispatch (excludes pre-order). Please allow 3-5 working days for main centres, 5 working days for outside of main centres and up to 8 working days for heavy or bulky orders.
Shipping starts from $12 for small items. Just add your items to your cart and use the Shipping Estimator in the Mini Cart or Cart with your post code. Please double check your shipping in the checkout, particularly for large items which the estimator doesn’t accurately calculate.
All packages are sent with New Zealand Post and delivered by Australia Post.
Packages are labelled with a Signature with Authority to Leave if they are less than $300 value so delivery doesn’t require you to be home. Please let us know if you need Signature Required for security concerns.

Returned items must be received back in perfect condition, unused and unwashed condition including the instructions and packaging. Please ensure you carefully package items so they are received back in perfect condition.
