This premium transition bag has certified eco-responsible production, whereby the viscose (bamboo) fibres are sourced and processed with low environmental impact. 1.0 tog warmth makes this fitted swaddle suitable for most of the year, ideal for room temperatures between 18-24°C.

Usually parents transition their babies out of swaddling by using a conventional wrap, they leave one arm out and then later leave the second arm out. There are potential dangers with using conventional wraps for transitioning as the blankets/bedding can unravel. Unravelling or loosening can pose a tangling, suffocation and choking hazard to the baby.

HOW DO I USE THE SWADDLE UP TRANSITION BAG?
Transition your baby in three easy steps
1. Use your Transition Bag just like the Swaddle UP ORIGINAL (2 wings attached)
2. When your baby is ready to transition remove one wing. One arm is free and one arm is still swaddled.
3.
When you feel your baby is ready for the next phase its time to let the
other arm loose! Simply remove the wing and now your baby has graduated
to a soft comfy sleeping bag!
Please note - the barcode description on this product packaging states it is 0.5tog. This is a 1.0tog swaddle and is ideal for room temperatures between 18°-24°C.

What is a TOG rating?
TOG stands for 'Thermal Overall Grade', which is a unit of measurement used to calculate the thermal insulation of a product, usually in the textile industry. Love to Dream sleep garments are given a TOG rating according to the warmth they provide. Basically, the higher the TOG, the warmer the product.
To help parents understand which TOG values are right for differing room temperatures, a set of guidelines has been established as per below:
0.2 TOG - ideal for room temperatures between 24°C and 27°C
1.0 TOG - ideal for room temperatures between 20°C and 24°C
2.5 TOG - ideal for room temperatures between 16°C and 20°C
3.5 TOG - ideal for room temperatures below 16°C
The table below provides you with the guidelines around how to dress your baby based on the room temperatures.
The table is only a guide. All babies are different. The number of clothing layers may vary according to a baby's health, their physiology and the room temperature in the room. The care-giver must determine what is suitable.
Note: It is important to check your baby regularly to ensure that they are comfortable and that they do not overheat.
